Spending Mother’s Day with my awesome family!

Pomegranate

He’s very proud that he picked an unripened pomegranate. Actually, he hacked it off with his shovel.

He’s convinced that if he puts it in a bucket of water that it will ripen and turn red. We shall see!

Kicking’ off Mother’s Day weekend with some VIP cuddlers!

I was trying to take a nap and Evin insisted that he wanted to sleep with me even though he had just woken up from his nap. Needless to say, I didn’t get my nap.

Teething has its benefits. Like random walk-by cuddles and hugs from Katelyn.

Eye doc

These pics are old because Evin actually went to the eye doctor back in March, but I must have forgotten to post them!

Here are pics from his very first eye appointment. He passed with flying colors…

I’ve been catching up on my videos. Some of these are old, but have a look-see!

Here’s Evin wackin’ a pinata at Gwen’s first birthday party. He did such a good job!

Katelyn loved playing with Evin’s laptop tonight. She would open the cover, type on the keys and close it over and over. Wonder where she’s seen that before?

Katelyn’s a pretty funny little girl. I can’t help but get caught up in her expressions and movements. On this day, I just photographed a mini-moment with her.

This was about 5 minutes of our day.

I mentioned earlier in our 365 post that Katelyn had her first day of daycare. I actually thought it warranted its own post. Probably because it bothered me so much. I really don’t think she minded being there, but I was sad and emotional the entire time. Did she cry when she realized I was gone? I’ll never know, but I do know that she didn’t sleep or eat well. All to be expected from the girl that is easily distracted. This will definitely be harder than I thought when we actually have to leave her there in June.

For Katelyn’s entire life I’ve fed her a bottle in silence, because with any noise or distraction she will refuse to eat. I guess that doesn’t really help her daycare experience. My only hope is that I can wean her from the bottle a little before she’s a year so that this isn’t an issue. Her first trial day was in the infant room, but when she actually starts she’ll be in the Twaddler 1 room. So, things will be different in that room for sure. Time to start prepping her for twaddler-dom, I guess.

Anywho, here are some pics from her… erg… my 1st traumatic day at daycare.

We’ve added hair brushing to our routine! Now he gets dressed, puts on his socks and shoes, brushes his teeth and hair. Nice do!
