Earlier this year, I started 365 photo albums for both Evin and Katelyn. No–not 365 individual albums (Julie). :o) A 365 photo album is an album that has a photo for every day of the year. I’ve always tried to do them for myself, but could never find the inspiration to take an interesting photo every day–unless it was of my kids. So, I decided, why not just make them for the kids?
So, I started two digital books on Shutterfly.com (using Project Life templates) and I go in every week or two and add the photos I’ve collected over the days. I use my iPhone to take 99% (if not all) of the pictures. It’s easy, quick and I can edit the photos and upload them to Shutterfly and post to this blog directly from various apps on my phone.
Anywho – I’m pretty excited for the end of the year to see how the books turn out. It’s going to be soooo much fun to look back through all of the pics–especially since the kids are so young and changing so fast. I’m hoping make this a tradition every year, because it’s so easy and fun.
I’ve also been uploading the daily photos to our website. I have a pages for both Evin and Katelyn. I’m going to try and their pics every day so you all can see them. You can find their pages at any time by going up to the “Project 365″ link in the top nav bar. There’s an option for both Evin and Katelyn.
Here are their daily photos from January 31st… I’ll try to add captions to the daily posts.
Evin has been working hard at not sucking his thumb anymore–a more detailed post to come at a later date. This was his prize for the day. He was soooo excited to come home and get his rubber chicken. He even took it to school with him the next day. Funny what kids think are cool.

This pic is of Katelyn playing around with her new sippy cup. She doesn’t have the hang of it yet, but I’ve given it to her so she can start figuring it out! She’s growing up so fast!
